God is: (1) the Final Fact of the universe; (2) the Self-existent Thing from which all life flows; and (3) the Intelligence inherent in everything. The spirit of man is the Spirit of God in man.
It is instinctive to believe in and reach out toward God. Religion cannot be extinguished. It comes with us. It is the soul's aspiration after the Source, which can only be interpreted at the level of our own consciousness.
Revelation is the Universe unfolding Itself to us, but when revelation denies reason it is not revelation at all, but hallucination, and hallucination is confusion. We must separate the wheat from the chaff; hear celestial sounds, but keep our feet on the ground.
The Universe is to us what we are to It. It is up to us to demonstrate the Principle within us and all the attributes which are axiomatic: life, light, love, power, peace, beauty, joy. These are the only verities.
Spiritual Power is available. In such degree as any man is unified with the Source of his being there is a direct responsiveness of the Power to him.
Little knowledge leads to dogma, superstition, atheism, nihilism, etc., while profound, penetrating knowledge always leads a man to see that though he cannot account for the Ultimate, there is a Divine factor which does account for him.
We cannot separate Life from living, God from man, or the Infinite from what It does.
There is nothing that can rob any soul of its integrity. Each of us has the key within to unlock the gateway to Reality.
We reason finitely, by comparison, but God is an infinite not comparative being, so He does not see a mountain as larger than a molehill. God knows form, not size. To Him the little is as important as the big and the lesser as important as the greater. Big and little are alike to God. Each is an expression.
The Spirit is already an inner guest; we have simply been blinded to Its presence.
Spirituality is the normal atmosphere of the soul and is as natural to it as the sun is to the rose. Man does not have the power to divorce himself from the spiritual Cause.
