Without change there is no growth, and without growth there is no life. The greatest obstacle to living life fully is fear. We overcome fear by changing our beliefs and cultivating faith in the immutable Law of the Universe. Change is inevitable, but the Law is changeless. As we come to accept our true nature, we know that we need not be passive spectators of life but may use the Law to become active participants in directing change for the good. The words of Ernest Holmes selected for this reader, all published in Science of Mind magazine from the early 1930’s to the mid 1950’s, address these issues; fear, belief, faith, and acceptance.
Our cover illustration, the triangle, is an ancient emblem for the "door of life." Nearly every culture throughout the ages has attached great significance to the doorway symbol, which appears in hieroglyphs and architecture, on sacred shrines, tombs and city gates. The symbol has been used in many ways: to represent motherhood, to ward off evil spirits, to bring good luck and prosperity, to heal sickness, and as we intend here, to convey the idea of spiritual rebirth.
May this booklet be a doorway leading to your fullest acceptance of the divine legacy that is yours for the asking.
